Athletes as possible Zoom guests

Norman Jablonsky

In the last Zoom meeting, David asked the Club about athletes that appeared on MWC, and wondered who might be good guests.

Here is a list of the athletes that appeared (to the best of my knowledge) on the show:

Bo Jackson
Joe Namath
Johnny Bench
Lawrence Taylor
Hacksaw Reynolds
Sugar Ray Leonard
Steve Carlton
Roy Jones, Jr.
Frank Thomas
Bret Saberhagen
Danny Tartabull
Mike Piazza
Dave Winfield
Xavier McDaniel
Vlade Divac
Terry Bradshaw
Ed “Too Tall” Jones
Erik Kramer
Curtis Conway
Raymont Harris
Tex Cobb
Clyde Drexler
Bubba Smith (deceased)
Kenny Stabler (deceased)
Joe Morgan (deceased)
Todd Christensen (deceased)
King Kong Bundy (deceased)
Ernie Banks (deceased)

As far as the best chances to get them as a guest?? Piazza & Bradshaw seem like they’d listen to the possibility. Saberhagen might be a possibility. Bo Jackson seems to have become more media-friendly. Namath might, due to his good sense of humor.

Athletes who appeared on MWC? You mean the guys who got to tackle Al and live out every viewer’s fantasy? I’d pay to see those Zoom calls. Probably more than Dad ever made at the shoe store in a month.
