My Ode to Married With Children – Part 1: The Bundy Family

My journey with Married with Children began when I was just 5 years old. My parents divorced when I was young, but it was one of my father’s favorite TV shows. Instead of most parents not wanting their children watching the show, for me it was the opposite, I think because I was SO young all the humor went over my head anyway, but I’ll always remember Dad telling me “Hey John, Love and Marriage is coming on. Hey John, get ready because Love and Marriage is about on” At my age, that’s how I knew the show, because I loved the theme song “Love and Marriage” id sing it all the time, so for awhile, the show to me was simply just called Love and Marriage.

Here is my small and humble Married with Children collection that im proud to show off. I apologize that this stuff isnt on display. Im currently between houses, so once i settle down I can get these properly displayed again.

The Funkos are all personalized to me, except the Al Bundy, I wish I could have gotten these signed in person, but the Kelly i got a sweet ‘Verminator’ inscription.

The Bundy Club hat i won will only be worn during Bundy Club events and will also be stored with this collection.

I think this will forever be a work in progress. I always looking to add neat pieces to the collection.

    Saying “Love and Marriage is on” definitely sounds like something a parent would say… LOL!

    Super jealous of the autographs I have to say. I wonder if we (I guess Brian really) could build a section on the site that contains a lists of all the guests that come on the Zoom hangouts along with their fan mail addresses? It would be amazing to have a resource like this for us to build our collections up!

      Love your 2019 GPK Al version. That’s a great pickup! Between us both we almost have the whole GPK set knocked out. The Als fetch a decent amount!

    This is an awesome collection. I’m starting to go thru the second season again. The librarian and camping episodes are awesome.

      For sure! To Build a Better Mousetrap and Just Married..With Children are top contenders out of season 2 for me..I get a kick out of Bink Winkleman! Lol

        It makes me miss physical media so much. Easter eggs are great im sure u found those over the years. I loved the elm street collection cause the one whole disc is like a game of hidden vids and stuff u have to search for and the Bundy discs had some too. It’s ashame with streaming. I don’t like not having movies at the stores anymore. Kills me

    I love Ed’s face when he finds out that bigger women would be sitting on him and instantly without hesitation , “We quit BINK!!!” And Steve won’t let me touch the lovely Zelda, “well you won’t be at the clinic getting a shot!”

    this is very cool. I think what i like best is how you and your dad shared a love for the show and connected over it. I love hearing that, so thanks for sharing. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “you’re from the Love and Marriage show, right?”
