So I’m taking a look at what other TV shows that the main cast has been in, other than MWC. Ed O’Neill was on a show 8 episodes called “The 10th Kingdom” back in 2000. “Big Apple” for 8 episodes in 2001. 4 episodes of “The West Wing” in 2004-2005. All 10 episodes of “John from Cincinnati” in 2007. Of course, “Modern Family” for 250 episodes from 2009-2020.
What are some of your favorite TV shows that Ed O’Neill has been a semi-regular/regular cast member?
Oh, yeah. Ed also did “Dragnet” for 22 episodes from 2003-2004. “All’s Fair” for 5 episodes in 2005. “Clipped” for 6 episodes in 2024.
He did Dragnet with Ethan Randall from Dutch and didnt even realize it was him at first cause he changed a lot and changed his name to Ethan Embry. I made the same mistake
Watched *Clipped* — and he was amazing!!!
I watched *All’s Fair* until his character died, and somehow I couldn’t keep watching after that. That whole ultra-glamorous styling and lifestyle is just a little too far removed from my world. Everyone looks like they walked straight out of a fashion shoot. Ahh, anyway…
*Modern Family*… I like it. And sure, I love him in that role and the way he played Jay. He showed a completely different side of himself as an actor. And yeah, they tackle a lot of stuff around stereotypes and prejudice, which I really appreciate. But for me personally, the show is just a little too smooth.
I’ve tried to watch some of his older stuff too, but a lot of it is pretty hard to find here in Germany.
But anyway… he’s an amazing actor. No doubt about that. ❤️
Both Dragnet and Big Apple were fantastic. I thought both could have went on for numerous seasons. He plays a Detective incredibly well!
