How Amazing is Christina?

My daughter graduated this week and with all the emotions running thru me, my heart keeps telling me to talk about Christina Applegate, this amazing person and how many lives she’s touched all of us. I hope she knows it. Just wanted to take a moment to say something as a fan of the awesome actress that brought the legendary Kelly Bundy to life! If you think about it, a lot of us in our 40s especially, we grew up right along Christina , in the entertainment world she was all our older sister. She started out as the baby on the Playtex baby bottles to starring alongside her mom as a 3 year old on Days of our lives. She was even a young Grace Kelly in a tv bio, which makes sense cause she’s beautiful & would give Grace herself a run for her money. She’s the 80s & 90s “Grace” in my opinion. We saw her in a few shows like Silver Spoons, Charles in Charge but it was when she became a Bundy that she really found a character that she truly made her own, along with some great writing of course. But she turned Kelly from a biker chick to a blonde bimbo to a sex symbol that sometimes wasn’t as dumb as she led on. I remember bugging my parents when I was a kid to take me to the movies to see “Who told mom the babysitters dead”, & I wanted to see it for one reason and one reason only, Christina. I followed her career all thru my adulthood as well from hits like Anchorman, Sweetest Thing, Hall Pass, Bad Moms, Vacation, Mars Attacks to smaller lesser known movies like KISS of Fire, Streets, Vibrations, Wild Bill. I remember recording all of her stuff in VHS even after married. She was so great as a guest star on Friends that it won her an Emmy. She should have two more F***ing Emmy’s for Married and Dead To Me but that’s another story. Most times these awards shows don’t listen to what the fans want and who the true winners really should be. Anyways, she’s so talented was even nominated for a Tony Award cause she’s trained in dancing jazz & ballet. I remember being crushed when I heard she broke her foot but she still rose above that & an eating disorder in her earlier days. I did a biography on her in high school and one in middle school. I would record the show Jesse every week and I still have the episode where David Faustino had a role. Was awesome seeing them together again, especially cause Married went 11 years and they got screwed out of a final episode, yea we’re still pissed!!! I hate seeing her in any pain but she’s a fighter and a badass & we love her for that. And it all started with Kelly, who I think is one of the funniest things on the show. It wouldn’t be the same without her. I pray to someday meet her and tell her how amazing she really is and how many hearts of ours that she touched. Everyone should go buy her book, “You With The Sad Eyes”, it’s awesome and honest. And will make grown men like myself cry like a baby but it is what it is. Maybe if we’re all lucky , she can come on here sometime, but either way I just wanted to give this terrific person a shout out! “WHOOOOOOA CHRSTINAAAAA!!!” “We Love Ya!!”
