MWC Merch… of questionable origins

Married with Children watch and bundies cd

It has ALWAYS been incredibly difficult to find any MWC merch, even until this day. I would love to know why there were very little product tie-ins available (maybe a story for another day in BundyClub)? So, when something became available back in the late 80s and 90s, you had to get it then or risk missing out… possibly forever. This is pretty much why I purchased these two wacky items of questionable origins. Just look at the art on this watch – it’s amazing. I simply can’t believe it is licensed, despite the logo. I just won’t do it.

The CD? Theme song remixes that were released in Germany. I found this YouTube link to give you an idea of what to expect:

Anyone else ever pick these up?

I think there was already quite a lot of stuff in Germany back in the ’90s. I had two fan books, a quote book, two posters, a T-shirt, cassettes—and not to mention a few VHS tapes, since at some point I started recording everything… God, there must have been even more (thanks, Mom and Dad—yeah, I wanted it all).
When my parents gave up their house, it all somehow ended up in the “Bundy graveyard”. I could… well. But little by little, things are finding their way back to me.

A MWC watch of “questionable origins” and German theme song remixes? This is the kind of bootleg energy that would make Al proud. The man built his whole life on cutting corners, so unlicensed merch is basically the official Bundy seal of approval. And the fact that Germany had a whole separate MWC merch game going is wild. They called it Eine schrecklich nette Familie over there, and apparently they were way more into us than America ever was. Classic.
