As a teenager, I used to take my Married… with Children quote book with me whenever I traveled or stayed overnight at a friend’s house.
I even remember a youth trip I took with a group of friends. The book came with me on that trip too.
To people who didn’t really know me, I probably seemed a little odd. But somehow, I never cared.
Back then, there was no streaming, no YouTube, and no way to watch whatever you wanted whenever you wanted. The show aired once a day at 5:30 p.m., and missing an episode really meant missing an episode. If you weren’t home, that was it. And the worst part? You never knew when — or even if — you’d get the chance to see that particular episode again.
Looking back now, it sounds almost unbelievable.
But that little book was one small way of taking a piece of the Bundys with me wherever I went. And apparently, I wasn’t going anywhere without them. 😄
