Trivia from The Egg & I

Call me crazy, not Crazy Achmed, but I was doing a deep dive on the interwebs after watching The Egg & I episode and discovered wild bit of trivia. Al says the line, “wouldn’t mind starring in an episode or two of ‘Growing Pains’,” then exclaims that he does not want to be on ABC. Most of us fans remember Alan Thicke (Jason Seaver on Growing Pains) appearing twice on MWC. First as Kelly’s date Henry in S10, and Peggy’s boyfriend Bruce in S11. It appears that four other actors have appeared on both shows:

1) Gordon Jump (S11E23) as Earl Tot, owner of Weenie Tots
2) Gary Grubbs (S02E01-02) as Delbert, and again as Cal (S11E05) who tries to sell Al the Testica 2000
3) Deborah Harmon (S02E09) as Mimi Stoatz, and again as June Morgan (S10E26). Ironically, she played Peggy’s rival in both episodes.
4) Bill Erwin (S02E16) as Hiram Massey – the old dude in the jacuzzi tub who wants to hire Al

Again, useless trivia… but man I love learning this stuff!
